Lake Titicaca: Uros- The floating islands

This guy is giving us a demonstration of how the floating islands are built. They cut these blocks of roots which are the floating part and tie them together individually and then spread reed along the top as a floor. They said it takes 1 year to build an individual island and they last for 40 years.
